2016 Palm Valley Scholarships Awarded
The Palm Valley Community Association and its charitable arm, Palm Valley Community Charities, were pleased to present a $1,000 scholarship award to each of two local seniors from Ponte Vedra and Nease High Schools. The award can be applied toward tuition for any accredited university, community college or technical institution in the United States.
The Palm Valley scholarship is competitive and requires a creative media entry. The submission can be either an essay, a three-minute video, a composed song, a photographic slideshow or an original artwork.
Madison Lee from Ponte Vedra High School created an infographic that illustrates how Palm Valley has changed over the last 100 years, comparing past and present. She will be attending the University of Central Florida.
Khadija Kamara from Nease High School composed an essay about the beauty and charm of the Palm Valley area. She will be attending the University of Florida.
The Palm Valley Community Scholarship was created several years ago as a way to invest in the youth of Palm Valley and continue the legacy of community service.
Congratulations Madison and Khadija!
